Ministry Expansion Officer – Europe
Andrew Nedelchev joined Crown Financial Ministries as the Program Director for Europe in June 2008 and in March 2012 became the Ministry Expansion Officer for Europe. Andrew is Bulgarian and was born on 12 December 1977 in Sofia, which remains his hometown.
His past professional experience includes management responsibilities for an events management company and more than twelve years as a free-lance interpreter/translator. In addition Andrew has lots of experience in the non-profit sector. Between 2003 and 2005 he was the National Education Director for the Bulgarian Baptist Youth Organization.
In 2003 he co-founded the HARTA Association – an apologetics ministry in Bulgaria that seeks to present the Christian worldview in an intelligent and convincing manner.
Andrew studied English Philology at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He has also done extra-curriculum studies in apologetics and theology at Wheaton College, IL, USA, and Oxford, UK. In addition, he has undergone leadership training in academic settings in Bulgaria and Cambridge, UK.
Andrew’s greatest passion is to explain Christianity to intellectuals and skeptics, as well as see the church in Europe become mature and financially self-sustainable. He is a sought-after speaker and preacher and has spoken in over 15 countries in Europe and the Middle East.
Andrew serves on the Board of D3 Navigators Bulgaria and is regularly consulted by other non-profit organizations. He also provides leadership to Umno (Bulgarian for “smart”), a Bulgarian non-profit organization committed to providing resources and training in various areas of stewardship.
Andrew lives in Sofia, Bulgaria together with his wife, Katrin, and their two sons – Filip (seven) and Victor (one). He serves as elder in the Mladost Baptist Church and maintains a personal blog at http://andrewnedelchev.info/. He is an avid reader and has a deep interest in all aspects of Theology, Philosophy, History and Literature.
